Oporto
The city of Oporto is the gateway to wine country. We start our tour in the majestic city of Oporto in north Portugal. Here we will visit Port fortified wine producers and the cork museum. We will have a chance to taste their delicious Francesinha sandwich and tinned fish.

Viseu
The city of Viseu will host the 2024 World Cheese Awards and we will use it as our base for the duration of our trip. The city is located in the Dão wine region. We will have a chance to explore wine and cheese producers during our tour.

Our technical visits to cheese producers allow guests to learn more about the production methods and ageing technologies.
The tour includes all visits with translation from Portuguese to English and Spanish.
Hotels, transport, and meals included.

We will visit the following producers:
Quinta da Tapada makers of Queijo Bola and Queijo Curado made with cow’s milk. We will also see their wine production.

Beira Baixa DOP
Queijo de Ovelha

Arrival in Portugal: 11 November 2024.
Visits in Oporto on Tuesday, 12 Nov from 9AM.
Departure to Dão Region on Tuesday, 12 Nov at 6PM.
End of tour Thursday, 14 Nov 2024 in Viseu on day before the start of the World Cheese Awards

Cheese Tour Only: USD$ 2,000 + VAT (No visits or accommodation in Oporto)
Discounts: 10% for frequent travellers or 7% for reservations made by 31 July 2024 with a USD$300 deposit. Discounts cannot be combined.

Price does not include airplane ticket, airport or train station transfers, nor medical insurance.
Cost per double room. Single room surcharge per room/per night USD $50 + VAT.
Payment in US dollars via wire transfer to the US have no extra cost. We accept payments in Euros and Sterling Pounds with a 6% exfra fee.
We do not provide help to apply for tourist visas.
